Canada is good at some sports, but they shouldn't be able to beat a team of our (mostly) best players in baseball.
Mexico is pounding Canada though, so if USA beats South Africa tomorrow (which should be a given) they will still advance to the next round on the tie-breaker.
USA hockey can field a complete team of NHL hockey players, whereas Canadain baseball cannot field even a team that has a majority of MLB players.
Although, iirc USA Hockey beat Canada in a World Championship final, something which was much higher stakes than a game that didn't prevent the U.S. from advancing in the tournament.
