They really made it hard this week...

1. Ohio St. (11-0) - Still the best.

2. Michigan (11-0) - Huge showdown with Ohio St. next week.

3. USC (8-1) - Seem to have hit their stride.

4. West Virginia (8-1) - Underrated.

5. Rutgers (9-0) - Better than I thought. Needs to avoid a letdown in their two games before they meet West Virginia.

6. Louisville (8-1) - Dropped too much in the polls. Only one loss (at Rutgers by 3 points) and they have a good win over West Virginia. It's hard to separate the Big East teams at this point.

7. LSU (8-2) - the overlooked SEC team.

8. Arkansas (9-1) - Still skeptical because of their absolute trouncing at the hands of USC and their overtime win against Alabama (when Alabama missed an extra point). Kicking in the SEC is plain terrible all the way around.

9. Wisconsin (10-1) - Only loss came at Michigan, but they really haven't impressed much.

10. Florida (9-1) - Extremely lucky to get by South Carolina. They have not played to their potential.

I would submit Oklahoma as a viable top 10 team... they only have one legit loss and they are playing better right now than any other team outside of Columbus. They spanked A&M and shut down Tech in the 2nd half. They are easily the best team in the Big 12 right now. Just need A&M to take out Texas to make it to the championship game.

speaking of which, what's the word about Colt McCoy's injury?

Oklahoma is a top 10 team, but only for one quarter or half a game. The simply aren't consistent enough. I think they're ranked about right in the polls.

They're not saying much about McCoy's injury. Texas doesn't play next week, so he's got some more time to recover.
