and what about those mav's? any thoughts on what has gone wrong (besides the fact Dirk isn't a "go to" guy in last few minutes of a game thus leaving us with no "star" whatsoever on this team. And of course the ironic thing is that Dirk will probably get the MVP this year. agree?)

Yes, it's certainly not looking good for the Mavs.
Golden St. is simply a bad matchup for the Mavs. But you have to give G.S. alot of credit, they've been playing really hard - like small conference team in the NCAA tourney - they've been playing with more intensity than I remember a NBA team playing with.
The Mavs haven't been able to stop Baron Davis (I think Harris should be able to play him well, but Avery has him playing only sporadically) or dominate on the boards like they should.
I think the Mavs peaked to early in the season and haven't been able to get it back together after basically taking the last 2 weeks of the season off.
G.S. has had a good plan against Dirk, double teaming him with two smaller guys, Dirk's failure to develop a true post game is coming back to haunt him.
