Book Review: An Unstoppable Force - Daring to Become the Church God Had in Mind

By: Erwin Raphael McManus

Amazon page

This is book explains what McManus thinks the Church needs to be in order to have an impact in a post-Christian environment. Our world is increasingly urbanized and multi-ethnic, and affected by globalization.

McManus notes we've reached the point that the Hindu not only lives next to the Muslim, but that often the Hindu and the Muslim live in the same person. These things have left many churches' approach to evangelism and apologetics ineffective at best.

McManus call the Church to live by faith, to be know by love, and to be a voice of hope in a desperate world. He stresses that "relevance to culture is not optional."

The book is definitely provides plenty to think about, and provides an encouragement that the Church can once again become an unstoppable force. McManus personal experience in church planting give the book alot of depth. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to rethink how churches operate.
