NBA Finals Recap

Yes, it's time for a recap despite the technicality that it's not over yet.

Cleveland simply had no business being in the finals. It's a sad indictment of the Eastern Conference that one great player (LeBron of course) was enough to get to the finals. Cleveland's slimiest of hopes of being competitive have been dashed by LeBron's foul trouble and the reffing that has allowed San Antonio to play a tight defense on him.

San Antonio tried to give away game 3, they sleep-walked through much of the game. They are the type of team that gives away road games in playoff series' against inferior opponents. But Cleveland still couldn't get it done. Varejao's decision late in the game (when the Cavs had a change to tie) to attempt an out of control spin move against Duncan instead of giving the ball to their best player for perhaps the most important play in the series, exemplified the unreadiness of the Cavaliers.
