College Football Rankings 11-25

My #1 goes down for the third straight week. I guarantee it won't happen next week though.

And I must say I whole-heartily approve of the increase use of the triple option that seems to be creeping up.

1. Ohio St. (11-1) - Their (regular) season is finished.

2. Missouri (11-1) - Beat Kansas, but the defense is a concern. A chance to revenge their only loss next week and perhaps gain my #1 spot.

3. Kansas (11-1) - Looked overwhelmed in the first half, but outplayed Missouri in the 2nd. Could have been right there if it wasn't for the missed field goals. Their best wins are at Colorado and at Texas A+M.

4. West Virginia (10-1) - Trounced an overmatched UConn team. They've lost to a worse team than Kansas (South Florida) and their best wins (at Mississippi St and at Cincinnati) do not seem any more impressive than Kansas'.

5. USC (9-2) - Impressive win at Arizona St. They've got it back together and might be the favorite if there was a playoff. UCLA next.

6. LSU (10-2) - Lost in triple OT to Arkansas. They had a phantom holding call that cost them a TD in regulation (and thus perhaps the game), but frankly they deserved to lose one like that after their victories over Auburn and Florida. Tennessee in the SEC Championship next.

7. Oklahoma (10-2) - Soundly defeated in state rival OSU. Next up Missouri in the Big 12 Championship.

8. Virginia Tech (10-2) - Good win at Virginia. And now they have a chance to revenge their ridiculous loss to Boston College.

9. Georgia (10-2) - Beat Georgia Tech. Right now, perhaps they're the best team in the SEC.

10. Arizona St. (9-2) - Loss to USC. They narrowly edge Florida for the last spot, they may not have beaten as many good teams as Florida (debatable), but they've lost to one less.
