College Football Rankings 12-2
This is probably the craziest season ever. And we need a playoff.
Anyways, I've rethought things a bit.
1. Ohio St. (11-1) - Had finished their season.
2. LSU (11-2) - Beat Tennessee for the SEC Championship. They had a bunch of close games, but those did include their 2 loses. The early season win over Virginia Tech puts them over the top for the 2 spot.
3. USC (10-2) - Beat UCLA. I think they're better than LSU, but they lost to Stanford, and you just can't do that.
4. Oklahoma (11-2) - Beat Missouri for the Big 12 Championship. So they can play at neutral sites, even if they never proved they can play on the road.
5. Virginia Tech (11-2) - Beat Boston College for the ACC Championship.
6. Georgia (10-2) - Had finished their season.
7. Missouri (11-2) - Lost to Oklahoma. They don't have the defense or the power running game in the red zone needed to hang with the top teams.
8. Arizona St. (10-2) - Beat Arizona. An overlooked team.
9. Kansas (11-1) - Had finished their season. They drop significantly though. Since Missouri was the only really good team they played, their ranking is tied heavily to Missouri's performance.
10. West Virginia (10-2) - Loss to Pittsburgh. Sorry, but QB injuries are part of the game. Just ask Oregon or California or Oklahoma or USC... Maybe this spot should go to Florida.
